Refund policy

How refunds for Green Dotter Pro work, and how that differs from cancelling.

Who handles refunds

Our payment provider is the merchant of record for Pro (the seller on your receipt), so it takes your payment and it makes any refund, under its own refund policy. A refund goes back to the card or other payment method you paid with, and any tax on the payment goes back with it. How long it takes to show up depends on your bank or card company. It commonly takes a few working days.

To ask for one, use the link in your receipt. You can also email [email protected] from the address you bought with, say what you bought, and I'll help. I usually reply within a few working days.

How long you have

Refund requests made within 14 days of a payment are considered. Ask as soon as you can. If Pro didn't work as described, or you were charged by mistake, tell me and I'll do what I can to help. Abuse, such as repeated buying and refunding, can be declined.

Your right to cancel within 14 days (UK and EU)

If you live in the UK or the EU, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days of buying, without giving a reason.

Pro is digital and works straight away. At checkout you'll be asked to agree to get it immediately. Once you've agreed and you start using Pro, that right to cancel ends.

What happens to your licence

When a payment is refunded in full, the licence key it bought stops working, and your subscription ends. The free version carries on working, and your settings and saved schedules stay on your computer.

Cancelling is different

If you cancel without asking for a refund, you aren't charged again, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. Cancel using the details in your receipt, or email [email protected] and I'll sort it out. Cancelling doesn't return money for the current period.

Your legal rights

This policy is in addition to your rights under the law, not instead of them. If you're a consumer in the UK, that includes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the software is faulty or isn't as described. Those rights are not affected by anything on this page. Elsewhere, the mandatory consumer rights of your country still apply. See the terms for more.

Problems with a payment

If you see a charge you don't recognise, or you were charged twice, email [email protected] and I'll help sort it out. Your receipt has the details of the payment, which helps.
